"On behalf of the Consulate General of Haiti in Chicago, as we celebrate Fathers’ Day, I urge you to think about the importance of a father figure to every home and every society. A father is not only a reassuring presence. He is also and above all else, an irreplaceable role model. For the good of his family and for his community’s future, he has to use sound judgement while showing courage and determination.

As for the Haitian Father, he deserves special respect because his role often comes with uncommon sacrifices. He is the priceless guide of a new generation of citizens who need to be stronger in order to go further... much further.
