iciHaiti - Security : Accident of Cavaillon 12 dead and 35 wounded, the details 13/06/2017 08:57:03
The Mayor of Cavaillon Ernst Aïs, who denounced the holding of public markets along the national road, said that he had organized an emergency funeral because of the state of the victims adding that the municipal authorities plan to organize the funerals of the other victims with the promise of assistance from the Ministry of the Interior. 28 of the 35 injured have already left the hospital after receiving first aid, others due to the severity of their case, are still hospitalized. Prime Minister Lafontant expressed his dismay at the accident and asked for an investigation to be opened to take stock of the causes of this tragedy that once again plagues Haitian families. He also welcomed the assistance provided to the wounded, including by the Civil Protection, Red Cross, National Ambulance Center and National Police of Haiti (PNH). "Prime Minister Lafontant expresses his sad condolences to the families and relatives of the disappeared and assures them of the solidarity of the government."
