On Friday, a delegation of Lawyers Without Borders Canada (CBSA) led by Me Réjean Côté, had an important meeting with Heidi Fortuné, the Minister of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), around the need to establish a cooperation between the two entities.

The CBSA delegation expressed its readiness to accompany the Department in its mission to respond to the demand for justice expressed by the population, particularly the most vulnerable segments of society. To this end, Lawyers Without Borders as proposed to launch an assistance program in Haiti in the last 4 months of 2017, in partnership with Haitian institutions working in the justice sector, including the Ministry, Port au Prince Bar and the Citizen Protection Office.
