Monday, the Coordination Cell of the Caravan of Change met with the Sectoral Directorates of the South in the presence of Deputy Wilner Guervil of Anse-à-Veau , with the aim of informing them of the operation of the Caravan "Coup de poing" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-21378-haiti-great-south-a-caravan-of-change-of-35-billion-gdes.html

The cell was represented by agricultural engineer Thomas Jacques, engineer Jean-Robert Jean-Noël, agricultural engineer Jean-Willy Jean-Baptiste, and the departmental directorates by Mr. Cham Duquella of the MTPTC, Mr. Cheulher Jean-Marc of the Ministry of the Environment, Gauthier Clifford of the Ministry of Health, Moïse Elancié of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Departmental Delegate, Max Serge Daniel.

While in the Artibonite, the Organization for the Development of the Artibonite Valley (ODVA) was the execution structure of the Caravan, in the South, it is the departmental directors of each sector who will take charge of the defined actions.

The Caravan of Change in the Great South, which will take place over 90 days, will be organized around the following axes:

1) Rehabilitation of rural roads;
2) Control and recovery of water;
3) Fruit and forestry cropping;
4) Food crops;
5) Fisheries and Aquaculture;
6) Production and Animal Health;
7) Habitat;
8) Public health;
9) Drinking Water;
10) Valorisation of energy.

After the meeting of Monday 3rd July, the Departmental Directors will be able to prepare the actions of the program. A detailed Plan of Operation will be submitted by the Directors on Thursday, July 6th.

Deputy Guervil volunteered to prepare the next meeting of the Coordination Unit with the Departmental Directorates of Nippes.
