The Embassy of Haiti in Canada salutes the premature disappearance of the illustrious poet Claude C. Pierre https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-21338-haiti-culture-the-literary-world-loses-a-major-poet.html

"Poet, university professor and member of the 'Akademi kreyol ayisyen' (AKA), Mr. Pierre is deceased in Canada, following a rare pathology. He is the author of 9 collections of poetry and has collaborated with various collectives, reviews and anthologies in Haiti and Canada. He has been a strong advocate of the Creole language and has thus contributed to the advancement of linguistic and literary works devoted to Creole languages and cultures.

The Embassy of Haiti in Canada extends its condolences to its family, close friends, the literary and academic worlds and to the members of the 'Akademi kreyol ayisyen', deeply affected by this loss."
