Following the disimination on social networks of the video of the brutal and humiliating arrest in June of Nickenson Remy and Emile Jean Wisky, accused of raping a 17 years old girl https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-21316-haiti-flash-brutal-and-degrading-arrest-of-two-rapists.html the General Inspectorate of the Haitian National Police (IGPNH) placed in isolation four police officers of the police station of Petion-ville (including the Chief of the polcie station) and two civilian employees of the PNH involved in these degrading acts.

"This is a case of extreme gravity when law enforcement officers begin to violate fundamental human rights principles," said Divisional Commissioner Marc Wilkens Jean, adding, "Even a criminal must be treated with dignity and respect," recalling that the code of ethics is there to guarantee a good image of the PNH. He promised to punish with extreme rigor these police officers who had a deviant behavior that tarnished the image of the PNH.
