This week, the Ministry of the Interior and Local Authorities welcomed the appointment of the members of the Boards of Communal Sections (CASEC), Administration of Communal Sections (ASEC) and City Delegates (DVs) from the last local elections, while urging them to get to work quickly in order to support local authorities in the design, implementation and management of tasks related to their function within the limits of their attributions, for a harmonious and profitable cohabitation of the various powers of the State.

The Ministry is committed to continuing to support and mentor local authorities throughout their mandate , announcing that meetings and training are planned to strengthen their capacity by providing them with the administrative and technical tools to enable them to be more effective.

The Ministry also reiterated its determination to continue working towards the establishment of responsible communities, a necessary criterion for definitively engaging the country on the road to sustainable development.
