Following the Baccalaureate examinations which ended this week (10-13 July), the Ministry of Education awarded itself a "satisfecit" to the general progress of the Baccalaureate exams, without any major incidents, despite the threats of disruption, launched by teachers' trade unions.

Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of Education, recognizes however, a few marginal incidents: candidates who presented themselves with falsified cards, the presence of students who had failed in the bac, some fraudsters and incompetent supervisors (yet education professionals and school officials) who photocopied illegally of texts of the exams with their mobile phones, to transmit them to other candidates in other centers. Others sent copies to candidates who had not yet entered their exam rooms.

Correction activities will start shortly. The criteria remain unchanged and the correctors will be of "normaliens" or qualified academics to avoid errors in the candidates' copies.
