Thursday at the Haitian basketball temple, Gymnasium Vincent, Skal Labissière, the young Haitian basketball star (NBA) donated a portable FINDER sounding device to strengthen the capabilities of the search and rescue team of Haitian Red Cross (HRC). This high-tech equipment is a major asset that will make it possible to find the victims under the rubble after natural or other disasters.

Dr. Guiteau Jean-Pierre, the President of the HRC went personally to the Gymnasium Vincent, accompanied by his team, to receive this donation and to thank the young Skal Labissière for this magnanimous gesture in favor of the Red Cross of his country. A Red Cross Volunteer medal was given to the young player who received it with heartiness by promising to continue helping his country.

Orientation workshops will be organized for rescuers and Dr. Jean-Pierre reassured the donor of the good use that the humanitarian institution will make of this new technology, initially developed by NASA.
