The Rara of the Festival Haïti en Folie is back in the streets of Montreal for a 4th year. Come and participate in this carnival parade and dance to the rhythms of Haitian voodoo with the groups Rara Soley and Rara Jazz.

This parade to the sound of folk music, percussions and tcha-tcha (Haitian maracas), in the creole colors of traditional costumes allows to discover various facets of Haitian cultureto the Quebecers of Haitian origin and the general population. The route of the Rara takes you to Parc Lafontaine where the festivities will continue with a craft fair and open-air shows.

Haitian culture can not be celebrated without the ritual to which the Haitians attach so much importance. The rara is a legacy of the rich history of struggle for Haitian Independence.
