Saturday, a delegation from the Ministry of Tourism was on an assessment mission at the Saut du Baril site in Anse à Veau (Department of Nippes).

Le Saut du Baril is constantly attracting visitors of all kinds in particular at the approach of the patron saint festival of Saint Joachim celebrated on August 19 of each year.

The Ministry of Tourism, whose mission is to highlight all the natural and tourist sites of the country, has decided to explore the site in order to develop this jewel of our heritage.

Presently the site is in poor condition since the passage of Hurricane Matthew which caused a lot of damage to the biosphere of the area.
