On Tuesday, a delegation of senators, deputies and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Haiti visited the Dominican Republic to inquire about the situation of our compatriots.
This delegation met with the Dominican authorities to achieve a more harmonious relationship on the island and to obtain better conditions for the Haitian citizens, said Senator Evallière Beauplan, President of the Commission for Foreign Affairs which has contributed to the spread of false rumors spread on social networks, concerning alleged violence against Haitians, since then denied on all sides, including by Haitians living in the neighboring Republic https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-21690-icihaiti-dr-the-migration-office-rejected-the-allegations-of-senator-evaliere-beauplan.html
In addition, Senator Beauplan took the opportunity to urge the Haitian authorities to really work to allow their citizens to stay in Haiti as in the past, instead of traveling around the world in search of a better life. A message very appreciated by the Dominicans.
