The Caravan of the Documentation and Information Center (IRC), a component of the Public Affairs Section of the US Embassy in Port-au-Prince, made its 2nd stop this summer at the small library of Furcy located in the new building of the community school.

With the help of several residents of the area, readers of all ages now have access to a comfortable room filled with books. Claudy, a librarian in training is there to make sure everything is going well. A group of children quickly gathered to listen the story of "The Boy Who Tame the Wind" a story inspired by the true story of a child who had the dream of installing electricity and water in its drought-ravaged city of Malawi.

A donation of various books crowned the visit of the Caravan, whose members came away happy and satisfied of having encouraged the love of reading.
