iciHaiti - Environment : Reforestation operation in the South

Throughout the Great South, UN Environment-Haiti supports not only its various partner organizations in their efforts to rehabilitate the environment but also Haitian state institutions.
In order to strengthen the forests devastated by the passage of Hurricane Matthew last October, the Departmental Directorate of the Ministry of the Environment-South began in Bouffard (3rd Maniche commune section) the planting of 2,000 of the 100,000 seedlings of native forest and fruit species (acacias, mangoes etc...)
This activity, which will promote the revitalization of watersheds and the sale of timber, has benefited from the financial support of UN environment from a fund of the Government of Norway.
