iciHaiti - Vaccination : Did You Know?

The Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GA VI) has committed nearly $50 million to Haiti. With this funding, among others, the Pentavalent vaccine against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B and Haemophilus Influenzae infections and rotavirus diarrhea have been introduced in the national immunization program. The vaccine against the most common form of pneumococcal pneumonia must also be introduced soon in the country.
GA VI is also funding the modernization of the cold chain in Haiti, for the conservation of vaccines that will run 100% solar energy by 2020.
