Saturday, on the beach of Gelée, took place the closing ceremony, of the Summer Camp of the Town Hall of Les Cayes which was held from July 24 to August 26. Technically supported by the Interministerial Territorial Development Committee (CIAT) and financially by UN Environment-Haiti, with the help of a fund from the Government of Norway, this summer camp of the "Gelée zéro Fatras" project, allowed the implementation of several activities.

100 young girls and boys from different secondary schools in Les Cayes have been trained on various themes such as beach and waste management, fauna and flora, the blue economy, characterization and recovery of waste.

These young people participated in cleaning the beach, educating visitors and merchants during the traditional Festival of Gelée on waste management and especially on the need to put waste in garbage according to the indications and the color codes.

At the end of this closing ceremony punctuated by cultural activities taking into account the problem of environmental protection, the young people, divided into groups of 10, presented 10 projects aimed at cleanliness throughout the city of Les Cayes.
