iciHaiti - Economy : Moïse speaks with President of the Caribbean Development Bank

President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by his Cabinet Director Wilson Laleau and Jude Patrick Salomon, the Minister of Economy and Finance, met this week at the National Palace with the President of the Caribbean Development Bank (CBD), William Warren Smith on mission to Haiti as part of the development of the "Country Strategy Paper 2017-2020" of the CBD.

The Head of State informed his interlocutor about his administration's willingness to work with both bilateral and multilateral partners in the region in order to establish strong links for the economic strengthening of Haiti and its Caribbean neighbors.

The CBD said to be fully aware of the difficulties faced by the Republic of Haiti, particularly its fragility due to weather conditions and indicated that the program envisaged by the CBD in Haiti would cover various sectors such as education, training, community development, agriculture and capacity building.
