iciHaiti - Education : A Haitian Admitted to the Cercle of Excellence of the Université du Québec
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in project management (cooperative path), Aude-Laure Gonel of Haitian origin has just been admitted to the Cercle d'excellence of the Université du Québec. A distinction that aims to underline her determination to contribute to the reconstruction of Haiti equipped of training followed at the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR)

It's in August 2010, that Ms. Gonel left Haiti to pursue university studies at UQAR as part of a humanitarian assistance program that will allow ten students from the State University of Haiti to come train without fees.

Back in Haiti, she now works as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Port-au-Prince. She is involved in projects relating to the rehabilitation of the Péligre hydroelectric power station and high-voltage transmission line and initiatives to improve energy efficiency in Haiti.
