Phanèse Laguerre, Coordinator of the National School Canteen Program (PNCS) recalled that in 2016 the Program had provided daily food to 139,364 students, noting that this year the program targets 250,000 students "We want to ensure that all children have access to one meal per day.
Like the vision of the President of the Republic, local production is favored. In addition, the PNCS intends to make every effort to pay special attention to the South," stressing that "[...] PNCS is the only regulating institution for school canteens with a transversal view on donors and international partners (WFP, UNICEF, etc...)"
