iciHaiti - Education : Minister Culture launches Back to School in Jacmel
On Monday, as part of the new school year, Limond Toussaint, Minister of Culture, launched at the National School Colin of Jacmel, on behalf of the Moïse-Lafontant Administration the academic year 2017-2018.
Together with the local authorities, the Departmental Director of the Ministry and the Departmental Delegate of the South-East, the Minister Limond also distributed school materials to dozens of schoolchildren in the school's classrooms stressing "The school is the privileged place of the Culture and the valorization of the Humanity. The Government understood that education must be managed with a view to sustainable development in the context of globalization," explaining that education and vocational training for young people will contribute to the production of wealth capable of reducing our dependence on other countries by promoting the economic and social development of Haiti.
