At the invitation of the Haitian company Sunrise Airways in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Haiti-BENELUX, a delegation from Curaçao (autonomous state in the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles) went recently in Haiti.

This delegation, composed of Government and Private Sector Representatives from Curaçao, had the opportunity to learn more about Haiti in order to explore possibilities for Cooperation. The program included various activities such as a welcome dinner, a "Cooperation Haiti - Curaçao" conference day, a networking cocktail and a day dedicated to visits of different institutions and companies, and finally of meetings with, among others, the responsible for the National Port Authority (APN), the Minister of Tourism and the Ministry of Public Works.

Participants of this delegation were more than satisfied and the head of the Curaçao Free Zone said that she was eagerly awaiting the first Sunrise Airways flights to Curacao, which will stimulate future economic developments cooperation with Haiti.
