Haiti - Demonstration : The Economic Forum presents its sympathies to the victims...
The metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince experienced Tuesday "a day of violence and terror", stone throwing, burning tires, burned vehicles, private companies attacked and vandalized, Embassy stoned https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-22098-haiti-flash-violent-protest-against-the-budget-and-the-head-of-state.html

"The Economic Forum of the Private Sector strongly condemns these unacceptable acts and expresses its sympathies to all those who have been victims. "

The Economic Sector Forum urges the Minister of Justice and the Secretary of State for Public Security "to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of lives and property and to seek and prosecute sponsors and perpetrators of these unjustifiable acts."

The Forum recalls that the rule of law recognizes and guarantees the freedom of all citizens, both to demonstrate and to freely go about their activities, but that the rule of law also protects private property and ensures the security of all.

The Economic Sector Forum calls for calm and reason, and invites all Haitian citizens to work to reduce tensions and build constructive dialogue.
