iciHaiti - Painting : Mildor Chevalier exhibits until 30 September in Santo Domingo
The Haitian Embassy in Santo Domingo informs us that the internationally renowned Haitian painter Mildor Chevalier will exhibit his work at the "Arte Berri" Gallery in the Colonial Zone Calle Hostos 105, Zona Colonial, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Mildor Chevalie, born in Haiti, currently lives in New York. He studied at the school "Grotte des Arts Plastiques" in Port-au-Prince in 1999. One year later he went to the Dominican Republic where he continued his studies on the arts at the National School of Bellas Artes in Santo Domingo then at the school of Diseño Altos de Chavon in La Romana.

After graduating, he received the title of Associate at Bellas Artes and Ilustracion in 2010. Shortly afterwards, he received a full scholarship to continue his studies in New York at the Parsons The New School for Design where he earned a bachelor's degree in illustration and then obtained a master's degree in Fine Arts / Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York.

Mildor produced numerous solo exhibitions and participated in several group exhibitions, art fairs in major galleries and art institutions including in Quebec, New York, Belgium, Shanghai, Paris, Madrid and Santo-Domingo.

His works are also featured in numerous private collections, including in Dominican Republic, China and Canada.
