On Thursday morning at the Police Academy on the road of Frères, will be held the inauguration ceremony of a statue for Peace and the launch of the comic strip "Ochan pour Nirva". These two projects are part of the "Ann Chwazi lapè - Vyolans ap detwi lavi nou" campaign, which has been promoting non-violence for the past 4 years.

As the Minustah mission comes to an end (October 15, 2017), "Ochan pour Nirva" is designed to spark discussion in schools, cultural centers and communities about choices and alternatives for young people, to bridge the gap between violence and access to development for all in Haiti.

It is this commitment to Peace and the rejection of armed violence that symbolizes the Statue because armed violence not only destroys life but also destroys Haiti's economy and investment and development prospects.
