Thursday, Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant went to the General Directorate of Taxation (DGI) to make his final declaration of income taxes for the fiscal year 2016-2017.

Advocating the benefits and usefulness of taxes in the development of the country, the Head of Government invites all citizens and members of his Government to follow his example in order to enable the Moïse/Lafontant administration to respond adequately to the needs of the population in priority sectors : Health, Education, Environment...

As an anecdote, let us recall that the Prime Minister, who today appears as a "good student who pays taxes", was qualified as a tax evader for filing his tax return and paying his fees for 5 years prior to his appointment as prime minister before his appointment !
