Saturday Limond Toussaint the Minister of Culture participated in the opening day of the "11th Edition of Artisanat en Fête" https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-22455-icihaiti-culture-launch-of-the-11th-edition-of-artisanat-en-fete.html the largest handicraft event in Haiti, held in the Historical Park of Canne à Sucre, in the Commune of Tabarre Saturday and Sunday, October 22nd.
"More than 200 artisans exhibit this year, more than 12,000 young people, students, students invited, not to mention the general public shows that the organizers want to work for the sustainability of the event and a transmission of know-how to the new generations," explained the Minister while congratulating the organizing members for this year's edition.
He also recalled the efforts that the Haitian Office of the Rights of Authors (BHDA) intends to make to accompany the craftsmen in the protection of their works to avoid the plagiarism and to encourage a creation of authentic and original products.
