From October 25th to 26th, the Interministerial Committee for Regional Planning (CIAT), organized two workshops of restitution of 3 studies on the Great South at La bordes (Cayes) of which two are in progress and one in final phase. The study on the development of a management plan and recovery of waste and excreta for the city of Les Cayes and its surroundings, that relating to the territorial diagnosis of the Great South and the study devoted to the priorities of development of the Grand South were presented.

The first day was devoted to civil society and the private business sector and the second to international organizations and the public sector. The purpose of these workshops was to take into account the comments of all stakeholders involved in the Great South in order to have appropriate documents for their action plans.

All of these initiatives are funded by the UN Environment from a fund of the Government of Norway.
