This week in the locality of Croix Desprez (Port-au-Prince), the National Society of the Haitian Red Cross (CRH) has inaugurated a new blood collection center and of ambulance permanence.

The CRH also proceeded to the installation of the new Board of Governors of the Haitian Red Cross resulting from recent elections renewing the mandate of Dr. Jean-Pierre, President of the National Society, for four years.

Several personalities involved in the humanitarian sector and Red Cross alumni, including former Ministers Abel Nazaire (Youth and Sports), Josette Bijoux (Health) and former Director of Civil Protection Yolène Surena, were honored during this inauguration.

This new CRH building was donated by the American Red Cross.
