iciHaiti - Security : Tsunami Awareness and Prevention

On Sunday, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) partnered with the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) and the National Risk Management System (SNGRD) to celebrate World Tsunami Awareness Day. This day was held under the theme "Strengthening Disaster Risk Governance to Better Manage Them".
As part of the activities related to World Tsunami Awareness Day, a Conference-Debate on reducing Haiti's vulnerability to tsunamis will be held Wednesday 7th November to the University of Limonade (North Department) with the participation of the Maritime Service and Navigation of Haiti (SEMANAH).
A film screening on tsunami risk awareness is scheduled in Port-au-Prince on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Place Boyer.
