The Mexican multinational cement factory CEMEX, present in Haiti for many years, involved in the construction of roads, public buildings, hotels etc... celebrated the 26th edition of the CEMEX Award in Mexico City.

Ranked in 8 categories, the CEMEX Awards has selected the Mariott hotel in Port-au-Prince for the 4th prize in the "Innovation in construction" category as well as for the 8th "Sustainable Building" Award.

The CEMEX award is more than recognition. Like any long-lasting work, it was able to obtain the best of two disciplines; which makes CEMEX a leader in infrastructure construction and a promoter of community quality of life as well as its economic growth and sustainable development.

The engineers and architects who designed the Mariott de Port au Prince were not present, but the Haitian diplomacy in Mexico City paid with his presence at the ceremony held at the Intercontinental Hotel Presidente in Mexico City.
