iciHaiti - Culture : Latest series of training workshops «Plateau Jeunes Talents»
"Ayiti Mizik", the Haitian Association of Music Professionals and the Belgian association "Talia asbl" announce the holding of the third and final series of training workshops planned as part of the project Plateau Jeunes Talents, funded by Wallonia -Brussels International as part of the bilateral cooperation program between Haiti and the Governments of Wallonia and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

The last workshops will be held from November 13 to 21 in the Salle du Villate (Pétion-ville) with Claude Rinaldin Beaubrun, David Casseus, Jehyna Sahyeir Celestin, Coralie Hérard, Samora Julmisse, Adjamile Marcelin, Jean Gethro Mathon, Gethcé Pierre, James Vergneau "Rebel Layonn" and sound engineers Pierre Edouard René.

Four new scholarships will be awarded for the summer of 2018.

Let's recall that the Plateau Jeunes Talents project aims to contribute to an exchange of skills in professionalization, training and creation to encourage the emergence of a new Haitian music scene. For two consecutive years, 2015 and 2016, a dozen young Haitian singers, musicians and sound technicians benefited from training sessions in text writing, vocal coaching, musical coaching, scenic coaching and live sound. These workshops were offered by Talia asbl under the direction of Pierre Vaiana. Every year, four participants have benefited from a grant allowing them to attend additional training courses in Belgium, at the Royal International Summer Academy of Wallonia, which organizes nearly 200 internships, given by professional artists, in several artistic areas including music.
