iciHaiti - Economy : Meeting in anticipation of the arrival of the IMF
Wednesday, in anticipation of the visit of a delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) scheduled for the second half of November 2017, the Minister of Economy and Finance (MEF), Jude Alix Patrick Salomon and the Minister of Finance Travaux Publics Transports et Communication (MTPTC), the Engineer Fritz Caillaux, met various institutions operating in the energy sector, such as the Electricity of Haiti (ED'H) and the National Regulatory Authority of the Sector of Energy (ANARSE).
This meeting allowed the authorities to define the points of discussion to be prioritized during meetings with the foreign delegation. It was also an opportunity to identify possible solutions to make electricity available in difficult areas of the country. Other preparatory meetings are scheduled with the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) and the General Administration of Customs (AGD).
