Thursday at the Court of Cassation, the National Committee for the Advancement of Justice was officially installed.

Heidi Fortuné, the Minister of Justice, Me Jules Cantave, President of the Court of Cassation and the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) and Senator Jean Renel Sénatus, President of the Senate Committee "Justice, Security and Defense" are intervened to insist on the importance of this new structure, which wants to synergize with the public authorities in the fight against the various scourges which gnaw the judicial system, including corruption and prolonged pretrial detention.

Also taking part in this ceremony were the President of the Federation of Bars of Haiti, the President of the Bar Association Stanley Gaston, the Dean of the First Instance Court (TPI) of the Croix des Bouquets, the Director of Judicial Affairs of the Ministry of Justice and representatives of the international community ...
