Wednesday, November 29, a Haitian delegation, composed of Jean Michel Lapin, the Director General of the Ministry of Culture, Mrs. Dithny Joan Raton Director of Cabinet of Minister Limond Toussaint, and the Deputy Louis Romel Baugé, attended the Funeral of the late musician, Boulo Valcourt, in the United States

Recall that the death of the Haitian composer, then aged 71, occurred on November 17, in a hospital in New York.

"It is the entire artistic and cultural sector of Haiti that is plunged into mourning following the disappearance of this emblematic figure of Haitian music. The Ministry of Culture once again expresses its deepest sympathies and sends its sincere condolences to the families, friends and colleagues affected by this loss."
