iciHaiti - Jacmel : Towards the holding of the 8th Charismatic Congress

Preparations for the organization of the 8th Charismatic Congress of the Immaculate Conception Parish of Orangers, commune of Jacmel, which will be held on December 15, 16 and 17, 2017 around the theme "Manman Mari, manman Jezi, manman tout kretyen yo, pèp ayisyen pap janm sispann diw mèsi" are actively pursuing. A series of activities is planned by the parish, including services of prayers and consecrations, vows to the eternal, thanksgiving, among others.

Usually celebrated on December 8, the patron saint of the Immaculate Parish is a triple celebration for Christians and pilgrims of the region. At a press conference, Reverend Father Wilner Poussin, pastor of the parish, said that Bishops across different dioceses in the country are preparing to officially launch the Jubilee of 75 years of the consecration of Haiti to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. A grand religious ceremony was held at the Sylvio Cator stadium on November 29 for the start of the jubilee, which will end on June 29, 2018.

The Reverend Father Poussin, recalled that the 8th of December coincides with the patron saint of the Immaculate Parish, and confirmed that Monsignor Launay Saturné, the Bishop of the South-East, will launch the 75th anniversary of the consecration of Haiti to Our Lady Perpetual Help. Father Wilner Poussin invites all the faithful, pilgrims and visitors to come and take part in all these religious events.

During the press conference, Mirlène Vivens, the reception and communication manager of these activities, said that all the events will take place at the Church of orangers, the sanctuary of the Immaculate.

In her speech, Marie Carmelle Lafontant, member of the Organizing Committee of the event reminded to the attention of women in particular, to dress decently for the respect of the Lord during the services of prayer and said to count on understanding of all.
