iciHaiti - Culture : Closing of the International Painting Workshop 2017

The International Painting Workshop with its traveling exhibition "Faces and names for memory" ended on Saturday, December 2 at the Town Hall of Pétion-ville in the presence of artists and many personalities from the cultural and diplomatic sectors. The Ministry of Culture has once again joined PromArt, an Association for the Promotion of Haitian Art for the 2017 edition of this workshop, which began on 21 November at the Ibolele Hotel.

Since 2012, the year of the first edition of this biennial workshop, the cultural brewing continues and artists from several countries reinforce the cohort of Haitian artists who participate in this important artistic event.

The Ministry of Culture took advantage of this event to pay tribute to the 12 great Haitian painters and sculptors of the IXX, XX and XXI centuries as part of its traveling exhibition which was coordinated by Ernst St. Louis, the Director attached to the Technical Cabinet of the Directorate General of the Ministry.
