Friday the Mayor of Croix-des-Bouquet Rony Colin, in the presence of Deputy Mayor Jean Jonas Saint-Juste, Gariga Narcisse Vice-Delegate of the district, of the Inspector General Jean Saint-Fleur, Head of Fire Services in Haiti, and notables of the commune has proceeded to the inauguration of the new fire station of the commune, located on the National Road #3, at Canaan.

With this new building, with an area of over 300m2 funded by the United States to the tune of $820,000 , the twenty firefighters who will be stationed in this barracks can intervene in case of emergency in good conditions, in the communal sections of Croix-des-Bouquets and other neighboring communes.

Mayor Colin, while thanking the United States for this donation, pointed out that this fire station met one of the priorities of his Administration, which is to provide the Commune with essential basic services.
