"Now the course is on their classification at the international level. I will be happy on the day when Haiti will have at least one representative on the CONCACAF elite list (TIER 1) both as referee and assistant referee and as much for men as for women. At that moment I will be on the right track to fulfill my dream of seeing one of them at the 2024 Olympic Games [...]" said Rosnick Grant, President of the CONA satisfied with this expanded list.

Regarding the choice of referees he explained "The selection criteria are cumulative and become more and more complicated from year to year and aim at excellence such as the overall performance on the ground, the physical condition, the level of theoretical knowledge of the laws of the game, the level of understanding of English, the academic level, personality including courage and other intrinsic values. It is the FIFA Referees Committee that decides annually on the quota per country (For 2018 Haiti is credited with 7 referees including 3 women and 7 assistant referees including 3 women) and makes the final decision regarding the acceptance or not of proposed candidates. Among the 14 happy ones of 2018, 6 are new, 2 are reinstated. It is an honor to be a FIFA referee and not an acquired right."
