At the invitation of Mayor Smith Joseph of North Miami, Minister Stéphanie Auguste has been in Florida since December 12th.

During her stay, the Minister was received by Francis Suarez and Keon Hardemon, respectively mayor of Miami and chairman of the Commission of this city who accompanied him for a tour of the port of Miami followed by a round table on social services provided by the city of Miami.

The Minister also spoke with various sectors of the Haitian community in Florida on many issues related to the involvement of the diaspora in national life. Stéphanie Auguste, to whom will be handed the key of the city of North Miami, will live intensely this proximity with her compatriots who remain very attached to Haiti.
