iciHaiti - Christmas : 240 inmates will be released and others pardoned

On Wednesday, Port-au-Prince Government Commissioner Ocnam Clamé Daméus confirmed that in the framework of the operation "prizonye yo nan nwèl", 243 prisoners in prolonged pretrial detention will get their final freedom.
To these releases will be added the list of convicted prisoners benefiting from the presidential pardon, which should be known shortly and whose number is unknown, according to Commissioner Daméus.
A presidential pardon that worries several human rights organizations, which urge the authorities to check the profile of convicted prisoners who must benefit from this grace before releasing them...
