The International Committee for the Promotion of Creole and Literacy (Komite entènasyonal pou Pwomosyon kreyól ak Alfabetizasyon - KEPKAA), proposes all residents of the Montreal area, who wish to speak, read and write Haitian Creole, its new sessions of course 2018 (Beginner Group, Intermediate Group, Youth Group).

This course aims to introduce the learner to reading, oral production, listening and the Creole writing system, mainly based on phonetics. The language is addressed in all its lexical and cultural richness. The 36-hour course spans 12 consecutive weeks. During each 3-hour session, the learner will be in a situation of communication with his peers and with native speakers.

At the moment there are six KEPKAA teachers, but this number may vary. All are Creol speaking, skilled and experienced, they are either career teacher, writer, poet, linguist, researcher or men / women of letters.

Group for beginners :

- 2018 Winter Session: January 10 to March 28 (Wednesday, 7 pm)

- Spring session 2018: from April 4th to June 20th (Wednesday, 7 pm)

- Intensive Session Summer 2018: June 27th to August 2nd (Wednesday and Thursday)

- Fall Session 2018: from September 5th to November 21st (Wednesday, 7 pm)

- Price: $ 7.50 / hour - 36-hour course, group of 10 students.

Intermediate group :

- 2018 Winter Session: January 11 to March 29 (Thursday, 7 pm)

- Spring session 2018: from April 5th to June 21st (Thursday, 7 pm)

- Intensive session Summer 2018: from July 2nd to August 6th (Monday and Tuesday)

- Fall 2018 Session: September 6 to November 22 (Thursday, 7 pm)

- Price: $ 7.50 / hour - 36-hour course, group of 10 students.

Group for young people :

- Winter Session 2018: from January 13th to March 31st (Saturday, 11am)

- Price: $ 7.50 / hour - 18-hour course, group of 10 students.
