iciHaiti - Cazale : Rehabilitation of the REZISTANS public square
On Saturday, a delegation from the Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti (FOLONHA) carried out a second working mission in Cazale, a locality in the commune of Cabaret, as part of the realization of a series of projects in this community, including donation of a pedestrian bridge, identification of streets and institutions; Rehabilitation of the "Place Publique REZISTANS 27 March 1969"; the creation of a vocational training center in the field of electronics; the organization of a health ballad; the management of a television studio and organization of the Solidarity Festival for the 100th anniversary of Poland's independence in 2018 to promote a positive image of Cazale within the framework of the Haitian-Polish ties.

FOLONHA, in collaboration with the Cazale Development Support Group, has launched the renovation of the "REZISTANS public square 27 March 1969". The Anglican Scouts of Cazale have volunteered initiated the site cleaning.

This monument, highly significant in the existence of this locality, recalls one of the most cruel massacres of the Haitian rural population, occurred from March 29 to April 12, 1969, by the men of François Duvalier during which several people were buried dead or alive in front of the "quénépier" of "Lakou Da".
