On January 5th, Dieudonné Bruno, the Director General of the Maritime Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH) received at his central office (Delmas 31), a courtesy visit of Aaron Delano Johnson, Liaison Officer of the American Coast Guards.

In the presence of the Director of Cabinet Wilbert Dédé, the Director of Maritime Safety Ronald Jabouin and the Director of Planning Carlo E. Cérome, the Director Bruno has expressed the wish that the American Coast Guards can develop a strong cooperation with Haiti in the very specific field of training seafarers.

Aaron Delano Johnson emphasized that an inventory proved to be essential as a preliminary, before being able to determine what type of cooperation the American Coast Guards can consider with the SEMANAH.

At the end of this cordial visit, Director Bruno handed over several projects awaiting funding to his visitor, including a major West Coast signposting project from Petit-Goâve to Mont Rouis.
