Aviol Fleurant, the Minister of Planning and External Cooperation has signed with Fritz Caillot the Minister of Public Works and Max Rudolph Saint Albin the Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities two memoranda of understanding that relate to the realization of territorial development projects in communes and communal sections.

According to these protocols, the Minister Fleurant grants the project ownership to his fellow ministers for the projects of Local Development and Local Development Funds (Communal Funds) included in the "2016-2017 Corrigendum Budget" and the "2017-2018 Budget".

The transfer procedure for the implementation of projects on the accounts of sectoral ministries has already begun. The latter, on the other hand, as delegated masters, will subscribe to the laws governing the award of public contracts and will periodically provide technical, physical and financial reports to the Ministry of Planning until the final completion of the works.

Other memoranda of understanding of the same kind will be signed Monday, January 15 with other administrative entities including the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Youth, the Ministry of Education, the Economic Assistance Fund and Social and the Construction of Housing and Public Buildings Unit for the realization of works related to their respective sectoral policies.
