As part of the initiatives to promote citizenship education, the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) in a circular bearing the signature of the Minister Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet "enjoin all the directors of public schools and not public of the Republic, to proceed every morning before enter to the classes to the flag raising with the pupils, while singing a couplet of Dessalinienne.

This citizen's exercise is obligatory in order to inculcate, among others, our young people the values of the Republic.

The Ministry invites departmental directors and inspectors to ensure the strict application of this measure, as soon as this circular is published."
