iciHaiti - Diaspora : Black History Month

Lesly Condé, the Consul General of Haiti in Chicago makes it a point to remind the entire Haitian community, that the month of February is recognized throughout the world as the Black History Month.

"This is an opportunity for us to think about our heritage and the place of our country in the history of humanity in general and the black race in particular.

The Black History Month is the shortest of the year. We will honor our National Heroes in February and throughout the year. Our story that has inspired so many people should be at least celebrated everywhere during the 28 days of February 2018. It is up to us to be proud of it and train children pround of our identity."
