Following intelligence work carried out in the municipality of Villa Tapia of the Hermanas Mirabal province (between Moca, Marcori San Francisco and La Vega) where members of the community had announced the presence of Haitians in irregular migratory situation, the Directorate General of Migration (DGM) on the orders of Lieutenant General Maximo William Muñoz Delgado has carried out control operations in this municipality, particularly in the neighborhoods of Toro Lindo, Maguey, Cabulla, Monte Plata and Casco Urbano.

Teams of supervisors, inspectors and DGM agents, with the support of military personnel and prosecutors, arrested 137 Haitians. After purification 116 of our compatriots without migration document in rule were transferred to the border point of Dajabón to be returned to Haiti.

Lieutenant General Delgado, Director General of the DGM said that his institution will continue to multiply control operations in other provinces of the national territory, with the help of intelligence and communities, to locate and expel all Haitians who violate the provisions of Law 285-04 on migration.

It should be noted that denunciations in the service of immigration of our brothers and sisters by Dominican citizens have increased significantly in recent months.
