iciHaiti - Canada : Tour organized in the heart of Haitian voodoo
Sagrado Adventure Travel Tours, a tour operator from Prince Edward Island (Canada), is offering a 7-day tour from March 28 to April 4 "Sacred Vodou Tour" and promises travelers an immersion in the voodoo culture of Haiti and visits to sacred sites. Accommodation in Port-au-Prince.
"Many people in North America have a negative and erroneous view of sacred voodoo," says David MacKay of Sagrado Tours who has been working on sustainable development projects in Haiti for several years "Through my research and my experiences, I found a very positive and soothing religion [...] Museums, voodoo temples, the fall of Saut-d'Eau... There are so many beautiful places to visit," convinced that many negative opinions about voodoo outside Haiti, date from the time of the dictatorship of the Duvaliers.
On its website www.sagradotours.ca/tours/ the tour operator says it supports financially organizations dedicated to agricultural development in Haiti. David MacKay points out in this regard, that part of the profits from this Tour organized, will be invested in the development of Léogâne (South of Port-au-Prince).
