The Follow-up Committee for the Financing and Institutionalization of Political Parties (COSFIPP) informs that 46 out of 57 political parties that can claim financial assistance for their operation, have withdrawn on March 12, their subsidy checks for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2017-2018 (October, November, December 2017) for a total amount of more than 127 million Gourdes (127,044,639).

11 parties have not yet withdrawn their checks, for a total of 15 million gourdes :

7 Parties including the Rally of Progressive National Democrats (RDNP), KontraPepLa, "Fanmi Lavalas", the Rally of Haitian Patriots (RPH), "Pou Nou Tout" (PONT), Dessalines League (LIDE) and "Konfyans" refused or are reluctant to take their checks.

2 Parties, "Patrayil" and "Veye Yo" are categorically opposed to taking their checks believing that the amount allocated to them is too low.

The representatives of the Socialist Action Movement (MAS) and the Dessalinian People's Patriotic Movement (MOPOD) can not be found.

The remaining 15 million will return to the Public Treasury, for the financing of political parties. For now, only the 46 parties who have withdrawn their checks will continue to receive public funding.
