iciHaiti - Social : Secretary of State Gérald Oriol on tour in the South
Secretary of State Gérald Oriol Jr, at the head of a delegation this week toured the South Department, where he met several disability organizations and issued grant checks to 18 people living with disabilities. The delegation also met with departmental authorities, including the departmental directors of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Ministry of Planning.
It also had a working session with the Heifer coordination around the implementation of a partnership to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in animal and plant production projects developed by Heifer in Haiti.
In addition, Gérald Oriol Jr. visited a number of people with disabilities and their families who benefited from social housing. To date, 33 social housing units have been built in the South in collaboration with Food for the Poor.
